Year: 2012
Goal: Start Styling Clients and building a fashion styling portfolio.
This is the year that I want to officially start building my fashion styling portfolio. This means producing and styling photo shoots and working on building a clientele in my area so in a year I can make the move to NYC with a fashionable portfolio.
I'm beginning to work on the details on how this all will happen to start building a clientele and just finding ways to contribute to my styling portfolio. It's one thing to give advice on what a friend should wear to actually styling them.
I want to be at a place within six months that I can begin to get clothes on loan from the local boutique and have clients seeking me out to style them for different occasions. This then can turn into a way for me to constantly styling and working on building a great fashion styling portfolio.
Until then I will be visiting a lot of thrift stores and raiding my friends closet in order to style them and extend this into getting clients. I also need to start working on establishing my fashion styling wardrobe. It's time to make room in my closet!
I'm excited about my fashion journey and am ready to begin styling. If you want to help me and and have me style you contact me!
Time to be a Fashion Stylist!

Rachel Zoe is Back!
Well, it has been far to long for stylist Rachel Zoe to not be on tv, but tonight she is back on Bravo.
I missed all of her Zoeisms and her fashion styling drama. Now she has a new addition to her team: a baby! So this season is surely going to be hectic and insane.
Tune in tonight for an all new season of The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo at 10p.

Back to School: Books
You can't have school without having books. So why not make some of those books fashion books. These four books are full of fashion information and pictures and are worth adding to your fashion library.
The first book off the list I have not read, but I recently read so many great reviews that I've added it to my Wish List. This book is written by a fashion stylist for all inspiring fashion stylist (like me!).
The next book is an amazing blog and an amazing book full of street pictures. I was so obsessed with the fashion inside this book I photographed the pages with a camera and have them archived.

If you are a fan of Nylon Magazine, you will love this book. It's a collection of street fashion from around the world. You will fall in love by some and be shocked by other countries fashion styles.

Rachel Zoe: A Stylist You Should Know
I was walking through a bookstore the other day and I saw one of my favorite style books: Style A To Zoe by Rachel Zoe (One of the best fashion stylist ever). When this book was released I reserved it from the library(I always get a book from the library before I buy) and I loved every moment of it.Being the fashion nerd that I am I even took 12 pages of styling notes. Here are some notes from her book about dressing and being a fashion stylist:
- Tear out pages of Magazines for later reference
- Before 1st appointment with a client do your homework-A successful stylist needs to know their clients
- Style is more about your eye than your bank account
Ms. Zoe educates readers on how to dress and dress others for all occasions, body and face types, and even home decor. This book has it all.
Rachel is happily married, expecting her first child, has a successful Bravo reality show-The Rachel Zoe Project, a fashion line with QVC, daily e-mail(The Zoe Report), and a lifestyle brand- The Rachel Zoe Collection.
Do not think all of this happened over night. She has been working in the fashion industry for more than 15 years and celebrities like Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie, Anne Hathaway, Cameron Diaz, and countless others owe her for there perfect looks.
Also, be sure to check out this hilarious spoof Rachel and company produced mocking herself.

Fashionable Thinkers be sure to keep Rachel Zoe on your fashion radars and add some of her products to your fashion catalogs. Follow her on Twitter and like her Facebook page to keep up with the 'Star Stylist.'
