Runway to Yourway

Runway to Yourway is where I give you a item off of the runway and present you with an option to have for your everyday wardrobe.

Our first item are BOOTS! It is winter and the season for a lot us fashionable thinkers means that BOOTS are mandatory wardrobe staples. The boots from the runway are from the Alessandro Dell'Acqua Spring 2009 ready-to-wear collection. BOOTS like these were very popular down the runway doing that season.

The BOOT that you can put in your closet is a Light grey BOOT by Jeffrey Campbell. This BOOT can be found at Nordstrom.com. The Jeffrey Campbell 'Envy' BOOT has a heel that is 3.25 inches. It is leather and will keep you warm for those extremely cold temperatures, but more importantly is fashionable!

Being a Valuable Fashion Intern

I get a lot of questions about what do I need to know about being a Fashion Intern. Here are some tips to get you started.

Fashion Intern Tool Kit

1. (Magazine) Back Issues- Read a lot of magazines. past issues help you prep for an interview.
2. Mints- Pop one in before your interview.
3. MetroCard- When you are in New York City the Subway is the quickest way to get around.
4. Map- This will help you Navigate unknown streets efficiently when you are sent out on errands.
5. Date Book- Keep your schedule and all you contacts organized
6. Comfortable shoes- Pack a pair for midday errands and Subway rides.
7. Resume and Cover Letter

It is important to be humble by your experience as an intern and do not turn down a great opportunity, because you believe that you are better than the position. Once you get in the door you have to work hard and show that you can handle more responsibilities.
