Guy: What attracted me to this look was his sweater. I am obsessed with a good sweater and this one is great. I like how he took a vintage inspired sweater and paired it with a pair of jeans and sneakers. He then accessorized with earring and a baseball cap. His bracelet almost goes unnoticed which is a great addition to his look. He is a Monday Muse.

Columbus based fashion designer, Raye S has a fashion show today so I thought it would be nice if we all get to know her a little better. Check out my interview below and LIKE her on Facebook.

Does she have a fashion background? 

She's always been really into fashion.

What is the history of her clothing line? 

She started playing around with designs in the summer of 2010 and from there she ran with it.

Does she create the line herself or does she have a team? 

She is a one woman team! She recently connected with people included PR Divas in the summer of 2011 but as far as designing, she does it on her own.

Who is the targeted audience? 

Anyone who thinks they're SLYCK enough to wear the line.

What all does the line offer? 

T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants - and many other things that cannot be disclosed at this time.

Where can the collection be purchased? 

Website is coming soon where you'll be able to purchase items. I got a sneak peak of it and you all will love it!

Where does she get her inspiration? 

Other woman ran designers including Hellz Bellz and Married to the MOB

Does she have any upcoming shows or promotional events? 

Her show is October 21st!!!

What are her goals for the next 5 years with her collection?

EXPAND! The more she can get her name out there the better.

Finally, does she have any style advice or tips? How does she describe her personal style?

Let your style reflect who are! that's exactly what SLYCK is about. SLYCK is me. Her personal style would definitely be hard. sexy. dope. just like SLYCK, depending on the day.

Rihanna Rocks an Indie Style in We Found Love

Rihanna released her latest video We Found Love off of her upcoming album. She and her onscreen man, Dudley O'Shaughnessy(Model & Boxer) take us on a journey of being in love and falling out of love. 


The song is great and is very popular in the clubs and the video is dramatic and reminds me of an Indie Film(think Requiem for a Dream). I enjoyed both the song and the video concept, but my favorite part are all of the wardrobe changes made by the two.


I believe the video was shot across Europe and the wardrobe inspiration is European street fashion. I'm trying to bring that exact style into my own wardrobe everyday. It's a very thrown together look and says I don't care, but reads I do care.

Jason Wu for Target

Fashion designer Jason Wu will be the latest to make a collection for retailer Target. 


This is good news to me because I'm a major fan of Target and believe that Wu is an amazing designer. Pictures for the collection have not been released, but the collection will debut sometime next year for the stores spring fashions.

As I was writing the post before this I came across this video and thought it would be a perfect addition to Tyra Tuesday. This boy is a YouTube sensation and Tyra is just hilarious.

Tyra Banks with Modelland

I still have not got my hands on a copy of Modelland by Tyra Banks, but I better try harder if I want to join in on the conversation. 


Thanks to the success of Modelland being ranked number two on The New York Times Bestseller list of Young Adult Novels, Tyra can add another title to her growing list.


I've been a fan since her modeling days, then her talk show, still ANTM, and now publishing. She is doing a lot, but is very focused on redefining the definition of beauty and fashion for young girls and women. 


Congratulations Tyra! You deserve it.

Monday Muse: Me & Giuliana Rancic

Guy: David R Jolly

I'm obsessed with this look. The pants, shirt and necklace are all from TOPMAN. My red TOMS, watch, yellow belt, and readers act as great accessories. The cardigan is vintage and was worn to keep me warm for a cool night. The jeans are my favorite part. They are European skinny jeans and I love them. They are skinny in the leg and opens in the crotch, instead of being skinny through the whole pant. And of course I had to strike a pose. I think this look is a Monday Muse!
